just watched godzilla on axn. that monster reminds me of a t-rex with spikes. whatever it is, its still not a pretty picture. and why is it that there must be some lovey-dovey thing going on between some girl and guy even when their lives are a hair's breath away from being over? its a bit ridiculous in my opinion.
went to paragon today with valtoh, met ming! haha. shall suan them by sharing that i got my prom shoes at
$50.30 cause this very nice woman asked if i wanted to use her discount card. it was a 20% discount btw, so do the math yourself. hmm, prom is this thursday, but i still seem unable to really get excited over it. excitement is not found in meaningless events such as this perhaps.
the st. gabs band was playing for charity outside paragon today too. haha, was a bit surprised when i saw joel there. had no idea any of the st. gabs brothers were in band. ok, something extra: their band U isn't nice, their normal sch U is much nicer. haha. its so different! guess thats why i was so doubtful when ming told me it was the st. gabs band.
have been thinking about some of my ministry stuff of the late. wondering where is God calling me to and the like. did the ability's quiz with much thanks to katarina and found out that my four top areas were in
counselling, promoting, recruiting & teaching. all full score somemore. shall do the quiz again and be harsher with myself.
some stuff said on saturday really hit home. is a leader considered one by name, or by maturity? more and more people these few days seem to hang on to the revered title instead of giving real though to the annointing behind it. a CL isn't a CL by name alone, but also by what they do and how much they love and understand the word. i understand that power can disillusion a person, i went through that phrase before. and of course, that authority cannot be abused, but instead, must be gently appiled to allow it to reach its maximum effect. i'm sadden by the course of things going on now, that people work hard to achieve that CL title or to reach that particular number instead of working hard to change that life behind a number, the love and compassion behind the title.
some food for thought: are you doing what your doing because you want to, or are you just doing cause its what your leader says?
i believe that even though our leaders don't tell us what to do, God will tell us what to do and it'll be all the same. i only can offer a simple reason as to why i say what i say. God dwells in unity, and even without instructions, his church will still flow according to his plan. after all, God is the one in us, not our leaders.
sometimes life is not all about fun, laughter and happiness, its also about deep thoughts, possible tears and joy that comes from the divine.
