as i wait for my hair to dry again, and chomp down my slighty spicy hot dog bun, i shall blog a dedication to jasmine, about camp and my after thoughts. yes, in that order.

for jasmine...
"I'll be there for you
When the rain starts to pour
I'll be there for you
Like I've been there before
I'll be there for you..."

and i'm not joking either. if i can't be physically there for you, you must know that i'll still remember and pray for you to have God's peace and strength within you. i don't know how you feel, i won't lie and pretend that everything's still alright. but i can sincerely tell you that life still has to go on, and i'll be there beside you to help you all the way.

if you must know, i love you and treasure you dearly, no matter what you did or will do. i'll be here for you. and not just me, but the whole church too.

___a bit extra, but i just remembered that i now owe the library a more than a week-long fine. -falls down-

day 0 - preparation day!
dragged my bag down to winfield with veron, and the rainy weather made me late, and her super early. -bleah- wahaha. but i wasn't the lastest. had a fun time playing around with ah shu, amelia, zihui, rroon and jiajia while waiting for the lao da of sound to come, which is, none other than the one and only....royston! -clap clap clap- helped out in packing the files, moved A LOT of stuff here and there, up and down, left to right. good for training muscles. :) jiajia came to our rescue with long john silver meals! ^.^

can't remember when we starting setting up for sound...but really learnt a lot. hope that i taught jiajia some stuff too. ^.^ left with zihui at about 7 i think, and headed down to the rc to get back my dad's laptop. which i got scolded by wenbing for, because he wanted to play it. err. dot. met some of the international delegates there, but had no time to stop and chat much. rushed home to eat dinner and settle last minute stuff before i went down to the rc again. stayed overnight with my unit! ^.^

was the earliest to go to bed, but the last one to fall asleep. the rest of the girls kept moving around and whispering here and there. ahh. -pulls stuffing out of pillow- in the end went to sleep on the carpet in the living room. managed to fall asleep but was rudely jolted awake by the stuck kitchen door. (.___.) and wenbing went to stumble all the way to the balcony in the middle of the night because, "the other brothers kicked him out because he kept disturbing them." -laughs- or something like that. what an amusing boy. yihui and siewluan i think dragged the mattress out too, and after offering it to junliang, who turned it down, i decided to make myself comfortable and go to SLEEP. wahaha. people kept coming in and out of the rooms though. only fell asleep at about 4.45am. woke up only after about 2 hours of sleep. -panda eyes-

day 1 - i'm lovin' it!
haha. at first the entire northeast was burdened with loads of stuff to carry to the camp. but we got blessed when we met david and gerald in david's uncle's car! hoohoo. so we dumped quite a lot of our stuff with them and happily went on our way to the campsite with a much lighter load. wahaha. God is gooooooooood.

the registration this year was a bit weird. everyone was to be registered through their ULs. but its good in the sense that there was no congestion and people 'excusingme' all around. haha. can't remember if it was on thursday or friday that i went ot ask adrian about the lime ice-cream. he was supposed to sell me any unfinished lime ice-cream! was so sad when it sold out even before the camp ended. -sobs-

got the same dorm again. same floor, same room, same everything. slept on the floor again. don't mind though, as long as no one steps on me in the middle of the night. difference was that the room was much more cramped and the windows had curtains! yay!

helped to move tables, chairs and the items needed for the ice-breakers down to the field. the weather was really nice! a prayer answer tangibly. :) was in charge of salamemro with qian jin(central b). hoohoo. no idea how to spell that house's name. think it went quite well, and spent more time running around than helping the elders lead. heh. and due to a lack of unwanted Ts, we played 4-way mathematics dog-and-bone with them instead. ack. they made me really shout. ack. got my shoes stuck in the mud!

haha. the ice-breaker finale was gross. hoohoo, qian jin splashed right into a mud pool when he was running across to look for me. ^^;; think the last house had the worst deal still. can't imagine eating all those stuff slopped with salivia and some which actually got dropped onto the ground and picked up again. eew.

received some news just before the p&w, and couldn't really give my full attention to the sermons that night, though i tried my best. was really drained by the end of the day. and i think that i have an affinity with broken-down toilets. my dorm's toilet light couldn't work and we all had to bath by torchlight. i understand that a candle-light dinner may be considered romantic, but a torch-lit bath? no thank you. haha. but we have to deal with what we're given. shouldn't have a complaining spirit!

day 2 - the relaxing day
woke up at 6.15, and soap-ia who told me to wake her up too didn't wake up because she wanted to sleep more. -peng- called jew up to go down to the bball court with me. played lousy bball when freedy came down with his basketball and some PT people.

the thing i remember most about this day was the workshop. went to 'excellence in using spiritual gifts and talents' and was quite surprised by my results. the fact that i got top marks for admin is a bit hard to swallow. -knocks head on wall- was asked to depict a picture of a man, and my group (jiexian from uni, jeremy from uni, matthew from centralb and me) got sweets for our creativeness. haha. after that we did the spiritual giftings test and was split into groups A, B and C. my group had two people in group C, which is supposedly the rarest group. 'the significant group' as nicole and jason put it. were supposed to come up with a drama/song/anything that answers the questions asked. 'what attitudes should we have for our spiritual giftings', 'how can we grow it' and 'how can we help the church with it', or somewhere there. ahh...the people in my group were super LAME! and if you're wondering, people who fall in cat A are usually the 'talkers'. hmm, no wonder.

finally joined my house! though it was only for that day...helped them make part of the mascot! but betrayed my house by learning the tino pai house cheer instead of my own. haha. couldn't help it! it was so...interesting!

jubilee night almost burst my eardrums. never ever stand directly in front of the speakers.

day 3 - mega games!
woke up in the morning to bath, and met tamar and some of her girls. guess a lot of us were too lazy to bath the day before. haha.

had p&w and teachings after breakfast, and that pok yihui kept on saying that she was singing off-tune. pok! i don't care how others sing really, as long as it doesn't hurt my ears. and woman, we sing for God, so even if you sing horribly, i won't stone you or anything. haha. what a nice sister i am.

didn't have much time for the mega-game preparations...and i personally think that the muddy field made the games more fun. haha. my station was a bit...dead though. one reason being that it wasn't strategic on the bingo list, and another...is there another? no idea. felt that my game was not the most exciting though. got raphael(is that how you spell his name?) to switch stations with me, but the games were stopped before i actually lead a game. -sobs- and i didn't get really muddy. wahaha. but i got wet though, and partially bombed by the stuff that were being thrown at dewen during the mega-game finale. declaration! fish oil STINKS!

had fun hosing down some people after the games, and xT freaked me out with this ultra big FAKE bug. (.___.) it looked real ok! the games com took a few pics together, and now i'm wondering if i'll get them. hoohoo.

zihui, ah shu and i were really getting stressed out afterwards during the rehearsals for the global connection. so many districts, so little wires! was super extra sitting outside the sound booth...(.___.) was in charge of the cds and plucking the plug from the cd player to the lapout, from the laptop to the cd player...yadda yadda. northeast won..yay! :) the uni group's presentation was really corny...haha.

stayed up till about 5am, and decided to get some shut eye before i became the living dead the next day. had a unit sharing, chased away a cat, sang for jiajia while she played guitar, got sprayed by waterguns by the horrible rroon and jew, ate ice-cream with rroon, had a witty banter with two brothers (who still have no choice but to stand in the shadow of our linguistic prowess. right rroon? :]), got entertained by nicholas, talked with jew, and dragged myself up to the dorm and leaving jiajia in the hall with her trusty guitar. i slept really soundly this night.

day 4 - goodbye.
woke up really late, because jew didn't answer her alarm and in turn didn't wake me up. got my bucket back and dumped my shoes inside. muddy muddy muddy shoes may i add.

cleaned out the dorm, went to be a barnabas deliverer(made 4 deliveries in one day in fact. haha.), got a free coconut drink from liting, linda and meiting which i gave to yuqian to help me finish it up. those pok girls purposely bought it for me to try out. (.___.) think it tasted a bit...weird.

just remembered, i have no idea what my barnabas looks like yet. and i can't see her this week, cause i won't be attending service. bah.

after thought...
all in all, the camp was a wonderful experience. think i made a lot of new people this time round, and i feel that i've met at least one of my camp objectives: to be more loving and caring towards my brothers and sisters.

an apology to those out there who got frightened or cautious at the sight of my black face during the camp. i had a lot of things on my mind, and i guess i was taking out my frustration and such on the people around me.

aloha is for both hello and goodbye. so i bid thee aloha, and an early merry christmas!
