my house is getting infested with insects lately.
i just brutally smashed a moth today, and a hunted down a great big buzzing bee not too long ago. eew. :(

anyway..had debate today.
a most pathetic session in my opinion. :(
went out for lunch with 2 of them afterwards, and after walking around aimlessly, headed over to borders.
found a book entitled "The Bible for Dummies", if i recall correctly. had a nice time reading it. very interesting and quite funny. :)

met up with ah bee and ah xiu.
went down to compasspoint with ah xiu to eat her beloved porriage. how many times can you say 'dort'? haha.
met 'sister alvina' there.
and realised my library fine was $20.45. oh my gwad.
at least my friend who still hasn't returned my books very nicely volunteered to pay the fine for me. :
anyway..time to blog what i learnt and experienced during camp! :)
but before that..i don't sound like myself today. i feel weird. :|

okok..JB camp!
day 1
the 10 central girls (tamar, joanna, xuanting, jiemin, shuyi, xiuhui, meizhen, yixiu, xinyi and me!) had the entire bus to ourselves! for most of the ride there anyway. the guys came to crash our bus after the malaysian customs. bah.
went all sparkly eyed when we reached eden hotel! lalala. and really enjoyed pastor simon eng's preaching. :) stayed in new york hotel..which was really creepy! ah xiu and i had a really enjoyable time watching tv and laughing our heads off. haha.

and let me be anti-climax for now.
i can't quite recall everything about JB camp off hand, so i'll return to narrating this camp at a later date.
shall blog about the youth camp first! :)

Vision-driven Life: HS/JC camp @ Eusoff Hall, NUS
day 0
got my mom to fetch me, jiajia, amelia and jiashen down to NUS. and we reached err...a little too early. haha. so my mom brought us to some NUSS place to eat lunch, and sihan joined us there. he reminded my mom of my little brother. *rolls eyes.

headed down to Eusoff Hall afterwards where we (jiajia, me, amelia, sihan, jiashen & matthew) had to set-up everything ourselves. gosh. its nerve-wrecking i tell you. and through out the entire camp, with the exception of the first morning, we had to do everything ourselves. no laoda, no shufen, no one to turn to when something went wrong...God really blessed and strengthened the sound team this camp.

didn't join the games com for any preparation this time round..had all the sound stuff to take care of. and i helped to write the name tags! woo! specifically asked to write all of central e's tags and was contemplating drawing little flowers for the girls...and guys. haha.

maybe its a good thing God didn't give me enough time to do so. :)
couldn't sleep much that night i think, and had to reach Eusoff Hall early again the next morning to prepare the stuff for...

Day 1
one of the lastest camp registrations i ever had, thats for sure. haha. and i managed to swap around till i got the cool black water bottle! woo! dragged my bag all the way up to the 4th floor, where central e had a lovely little empty space surrounded by aloe veras and bouganvillas. haha.

shared room with my shepherd! lalala. and we talked till some funny time in the morning on the first night. couldn't find her for the second. haha. got loads of mosquitoe bites though. argh.

the games were quite messy, but really entertaining, for me at least. hoohoo. and the people who came to my station kept complaining that i was the stricter of the two facilitators. hoohoo. so everyone didn't want me to be their facilitator for the game. but hey! i can't help it if i'm observant and quick to act! haha.

the bathing facilities there are so...sanitary! there's hot water! you can hang your clothes in the cubicle! woah! haha. the toilets were nice! but don't like the matresses...think that they're made of some heat-retaining material.

ate dinner in the hall. and my jacket wasn't of much use this time round. haha. had duty on the first night, and me and zihui were being some crazy people. hoohoo. junhuang actually smsed me to tell me that we were being too loud. hoohoo. but the sermon was really ministering! had so much to share afterwards. haha. :) was telling everyone in my cg to go first because i wanted to share nice and long. haha.

had a great time talking with my shepherd later. lalala. we just talked and talked and finally decided to stop because we had to wake up the next day. hoohoo. couldn't sleep much though. the mosquitoes kept me up most of the night. bah.

day 2
woke up at about 7 to read through some debate stuff. and my shepherd can't wake up in the mornings. haha. called her like what, 3 times (?!) before she rolled out of her bed and unto mine. o.O;;

ahh...this was the only day i could sit with my cg/unit during teachings and p&w. lalala. the point that spoke to me really strongly was the one about being in a position of power and using it for the KOG, as in, really using it, instead of just talking about it, rattling off meaningless words about how great it'll be...i'm going to really do it! :)

and the sound people had this 'urgent' meeting which turned out to be an ice cream threat! yummy! thank you ah shu! :)

had a great time sharing and affirming the other ce girls at night, and eating prata! woo! i went on a prata high! woo! it was deeeeeee-licious! egg, cheese and potatoes! woo!

and a cjc-ian converted! go victor go! :)
we're all so happy for you!

haha..most of the ce-ians stayed up till 5am+++. played cards and just talked and shared with the other brothers and sisters till everyone wandered back to their own beds. haha. fiona and i dragged a mattress out under the stars and were looking and the clouds and just crapping when i think i fell asleep first, near 6am i think. haha. wanted to stay up till a little later, but failed to. hoohoo.

haha..think we shocked quite a few people. haha. can you imagine stepping out of your room and seeing two girls sleeping on a mattress in the middle of nowhere? haha. :)

day 3
this day will be most remembered by amelia and me for being the scariest duty ever. the battery in the wireless mic died halfway, and soon after, the entire power went off. gosh. thank God the people continued to praise God even without the worship leader leading them. so we're spirit-led afterall! :)

was feeling quite quite dead on this day...
and i thank God that my debate training was cancelled! God must have known that i really needed rest. :)

_____and the rest is a story told time and time again. :)
and to sum it all up, i just have one word to say: revival!

and as i've said earlier, i think i sound weird today.
PUAY! :) // 10:49 PM //
