i'm praying now that my grandmama will be alright.
she's really the most adorable grandmama one can have.
she's kiasu yes, a fanatic about getting the cheapest prices and everything...
but she's still my grandmama.
and when i had dinner with her yesterday, she was alright.
i don't even know why she's hospitalized.
i haven't met with my parents & grandparents for dinner for eons and eons...
so yesterday was one of the few times i rushed down after seed to meet them.
and now, today...this.
i really hope that she'll turn out fine.
read the da vinci code till 2.48am today.
its really not for the young in christ.
the content is so controversial and intriguing, its easy to let doubt about your faith plunge deeper and deeper as you continue reading on.
heck, it even made me ponder about the authencity of the bible for a while.
but not all of it is made out of fabrication, there are snippets of truth here and there.
there is such a thing as the 'priory of sion', and the 'holy grail' and what not.
and if you think about it, the supposed trashing of the christian culture only builds it up all the more.
i don't think that the book is pointing the way away from God, but rather, takes a note from the holy bible itself and shows that the way to the truth may not be the most obvious, but when you've figured it out, the plainness of the answer overwhelms you and you hit yourself for not realising it sooner.
i still stand firm on my belief that this book is a good read, but only if you've the time, and more importantly, the maturity.
here's a simple test that'll allow you to have a vauge understanding on how mature you are.
when confronted with something that seems explicitly 'unbiblical', do you outright condemn the article, or do you read through it, consider it, and realise that there is much to gain from it, because the most convincing untruths are always distortions of the truth.
God doesn't always speak to us through things from the church, things that are always 'pure' and 'holy'. God is the god of everything, so naturally, He'll be able to speak to us through everything as well.
now, if only everyone didn't treat the bible as simple surface material.
"By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. " - Hebrews 11:3
PUAY! :)
